Painting Stages

I'm at the end of finishing a painting for a very good friend of mine. He is giving this painting away as a surprise present to his girlfriend, so the pressure is on to create something that I think she will like, and most importantly, be done in time for her birthday!

I wanted to do an abstract piece with a Latin/floral vibe to it. Something colorful and "Spring-Y". I photographed my progress with my camera phone to give you an idea of how I went about it. I need to add a few realistic flowers that are added on top of this chaotic pattern, and I'll be sure to post that next!
